Hammermill MFH-6
Brief Overview
- The MFH-6 hammer mill achieves a flow rate up to 1200 kg/h at a maximum speed of 6000 rpm. Due to the high output, the hammer mill can be used for a wide diversity of production volumes.
- The MFH-6 hammer mill fulfills all quality requirements of manufacturing as per GMP directives in terms of construction, machining of surfaces, and self-contained design (the mill housing is composed of a single piece).
- Pressure surge resistance: The sizing system is constructed to withstand an explosive force of 10 bar, fulfilling the most stringent safety requirements for processing flammable products.

Construction
Construction
An noteworthy feature of the Hammer Mill's construction is the rotor mounted from one side, enabling direct, gearless transmission of the power from the motor to the shaft. In contrast to systems mounted from both sides, not only are the rotor and sieve readily accessible by simply opening the front cover, minimal heat build-up is ensured. Additionally, the rotor of the hammer mill can be used applying either the hammer side blade side (cut side)or the hammer side. The rotor of the hammer mill can be turned employing the hammer side (hammer) to the cutting side (blade).
Process
Process
The hammer mill is ideal for sizing and pulverizing hard, crystalline, or fibrous products.
The sizing system functions via a rotor mounted on one side, which can be used with either the blade side or the hammer side, depending on the properties of the raw material and the result desired. The rotor is available in two versions, depending on the area of application: either a ground polished version (pharmaceutical industry) or a brush-finished version (applications other than pharmaceutical). The product inlet, which is in the form of a rotary paddle dosing device, is attached directly to the system with tri-Clamps.

Applications
Applications
The modular, compact, and user-friendly design of the MFH line guarantees optimum sizing results and excellent flow rates. Whenever hard, crystalline, or fibrous substances need to be processed into fine powders the MFH hammer mill from FREWITT is the tool of choice suitable for the pharmaceutical, food, and fine chemical industries. A precision instrument, it is ready for integration, either as a mobile, or an in-line component within any system configuration. For special applications, the pressure wave-proof MFH-6 hammer mill is the ideal sizing system in terms of optimum quality and safety.
Frewitt designed the HammerWitt-Lab especially for the research and development sector, as well as for small batch production requirments.
